Happy 25th Anniversary, Rush!

By | August 1, 2013

Rush Limbaugh has been on the air for 25 years!  During this time he has trained millions about what real conservatism is.  His articulate yet humorous manner helps to drive the message home.  I’ve listened since I was in high school and even remember watching him on TV when he had his show.  He is a legend.  Congratulations to Rush on his achievement!  His influence is unparalleled.

In honor of this anniversary, I’ve gathered a list of great Rush Limbaugh quotes from various sources. He articulates conservatism like no one else.  Enjoy!

Obama’s health care plan will be written by a committee whose head, John Conyers, says he doesn’t understand it. It’ll be passed by Congress that has not read it, signed by a president who smokes, funded by a Treasury chief who didn’t pay his taxes, overseen by a Surgeon General who is obese, and financed by a country that’s nearly broke. What could possibly go wrong?

This is a frightening statistic. More people vote in ‘American Idol’ than in any US election.

Enraging liberals is simply one of the more enjoyable side effects of my wisdom.

You know why there’s a Second Amendment? In case the government fails to follow the first one.

The future is not Big Government. Self-serving politicians. Powerful bureaucrats. This has been tried, tested throughout history. The result has always been disaster. President Obama, your agenda is not new. It’s not change, and it’s not hope.

Rush25years-04Feminism was established to allow unattractive women easier access to the mainstream.

Everything about the left is perception, manipulation, and lies. Everything. Everything is ‘Wag the Dog.’ Everything is a structured deception.

No nation ever taxed itself into prosperity.

Character matters; leadership descends from character.

How can people be so stupid? I marvel at that. See, I think you have to work as being ignorant – and if you’re gonna work at being ignorant, why not work at being informed?

So what is so strange about saying I want Barack Obama to fail if his mission is to reconstruct and reform this nation so that capitalism and individual liberty are not its foundation? I want the country to survive. I want the country to succeed.

Let me tell you who we conservatives are: we love people. When we look out over the United States of America, when we are anywhere, when we see a group of people, such as this or anywhere, we see Americans. We see human beings. We don’t see groups. We don’t see victims.

The people that make this country work, the people who pay on their mortgages, the people getting up and going to work, striving in this recession to not participate in it, they’re not the enemy. They’re the people that hire you. They’re the people that are going to give you a job.

We need to shut down this Gitmo prison? Well, don’t shut it down – we just need to start an advertising campaign. We need to call it, ‘Gitmo, the Muslim resort.’ Any resort that treated people like this would have ads all over the New York Times trying to get people to come down and visit for some R&R, for some rest and relaxation.

From this day forward, somebody propose it, liberals should not be allowed to buy guns. It’s just that simple. Liberals should have their speech controlled and not be allowed to buy guns. I mean if we want to get serious about this, if we want to face this head on, we’re gonna have to openly admit, liberals should not be allowed to buy guns, nor should they be allowed to use computer keyboards or typewriters, word processors or e-mails, and they should have their speech controlled. If we did those three or four things, I can’t tell you what a sane, calm, civil, fun-loving society we would have. Take guns out of the possession, out of the hands of liberals, take their typewriters and their keyboards away from ‘em, don’t let ‘em anywhere near a gun, and control their speech. You would wipe out 90% of the crime, 85 to 95% of the hate, and a hundred percent of the lies from society.

RushAlwaysRightIf one of the main reasons for passing the Gang of Eight immigration bill is so Republicans can prove that they don’t hate Hispanics, then what’s next? Are the Republicans going to have to support gay marriage to prove that they don’t hate gays? Are the Republicans then going to have to support affirmative action to prove they don’t hate blacks?

What do we have to do to make the women realize we don’t hate ’em? Change our attitude on abortion? Where does this stuff stop?

Bigot: A person who wins an argument with a liberal.

Progress is not striving for economic justice or fairness, but economic growth.

The world’s biggest problem is the unequal distribution of capitalism. If there were capitalism everywhere, you wouldn’t have food shortages.

Conservatism is an active intellectual pursuit; it requires a constant vigilance. It has nothing to do with feelings. Liberalism is the most gutless choice you can make. You just see suffering and say, ‘Oh, I feel so horrible!
